County Summer Camp Registration Begins Jan. 21

Montgomery County Recreation is once again hosting camps that promote children’s active and healthy lifestyles this summer. Camp registration begins at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 for County residents. Non-County residents will be able to register beginning Thursday, Jan. 23.

“Summer is the perfect time for children to explore, learn and stay active, and Montgomery County Recreation’s camps are a fantastic way to make that happen,” said Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “These programs offer something for everyone, whether it’s outdoor adventures, creative activities or opportunities to build new skills. I encourage families to check out the program guide, plan ahead and take advantage of the Rec Assist scholarships if eligible. Our goal is to ensure every child in our community has access to a fun, safe and enriching summer experience.”

Montgomery County Recreation camps offer a broad range of summer programs located across the County. Campers will spend most of their time outdoors with an emphasis on safety and fun. Explore the digital program GUIDE ahead of registration day and use the ActiveMONTGOMERY wish list feature to get ready for registration.

Applications are currently being accepted for 2025 Rec Assist, which provides eligible County residents an opportunity to receive a scholarship to use toward Recreation programs. Once approved, eligible residents will receive $400 on their account.

For more information about registration, visit the website or call the customer service team at 240-777-6840. On registration day, online registration at ActiveMONTGOMERY.org is encouraged. The administrative office, located at 2425 Reedie Drive, 10th Floor, Wheaton, will also open at 6:30 a.m. to support customers with in-person registration.
